The first attempt to transport kittens unfortunately failed, but we do not give up!
May 12, 2025
It didn’t work out… but I’m not giving up.
They were already going to be safe on their way to new, loving homes…
Tuttu and Lucus were to be separated from Poland by only a dozen hours of flight. Everything was ready – tests, certificates, documents. Months of preparation, treatment, vaccinations, stress….
And yet – at the last minute Qatar Airways refused to take the cats on board 😞 The reason? Transporters.
It turned out that the ventilation holes in our transporters were… too big. Although they were sturdy, safe and compliant with many standards, they did not meet the specific requirements of this particular line. This was a huge blow to me – because everything else was perfectly prepared.

This is a very difficult lesson for me. I am doing this for the first time – no one had sent cats from the Maldives to Poland before. I had no ready-made models or local support. I had to check every step myself – documents, regulations, veterinary and transportation requirements.
In the Maldives, it is not possible to purchase the specialized transporters that Qatar Airways requires. Therefore, I will now bring them from Poland – even if it means more days of waiting.
I want to very much ask the future caretakers of Tuttu and Lucus for understanding and patience. I know how much you are waiting. How hard it is not to know when you will finally be able to cuddle your cat. I understand that it is frustrating and upsetting 😞.
For me – as the person responsible for their transportation – it was a huge stress and disappointment. I did everything I could… but not everything was up to me.
I will do my best to meet these demands as soon as possible and bring this story to a happy ending.
Thank you for being with us. It is for you and thanks to you that we continue to act. For every cat life that deserves love and a home ❤.
