Last night, a person who feeds stray cats called me asking for help. She found a tiny dying kitten in the feeding area. The little one was still breathing, blood was pouring from its nose.

I went immediately and took the baby to the clinic. After X-rays were taken, it turned out that this poor cat baby had a broken cervical spine…. Unfortunately for doctors in Malé, spinal injury is a huge challenge. There are only two clinics here and a shortage of specialists. Of course they do what they can, they are very committed to treating cats, but unfortunately they have only basic veterinary knowledge. Therefore, in some cases, the help is only ad hoc….
