Do you recognize Oggy?

January 27, 2025

Do you recognize this handsome guy? It’s Oggy! The biggest and fluffiest male cat among our charges!

He is a very gentle cat, but shy. He is afraid of being touched, but does not react aggressively. I try to spend some time with him every day, gently stroking him and brushing his fur.

Homelessness can sometimes destroy a cat’s psyche, but love and time make these poor creatures wonderful companions for life.

Recently I was looking at photos of my kittens and I am happy that together with you we could give them health and new life.

Look, dear friends, how Oggy has changed over the past months. He is still a little shy, but I think that when he finds his home forever he will be someones best friend ❤.

Do you recognize this red cat? That’s Oggy ❤

Day by day he’s getting more and more beautiful and healthy 😊 Little by little he’s becoming convinced that a human can be his friend. He no longer hides in a corner but lives happily together with other cats 😊

Thanks to you.

Doctors are still fighting for Oggy’s health. Recently his condition deteriorated, he stopped eating, there were wounds on his paws that would not heal.

Fortunately, it has been better for several days. The male cat regained his appetite, his paws look much better. The kitten has also put on weight. His normal weight should be about 5 – 6 kg, but if his appetite remains as it is now, he will quickly gain weight.

Oggy is still very shy and timid. I hope that soon he will trust me and understand that he is safe here ❤

Dear friends, you ask me in messages and emails what’s up with Oggy😊

The cat is still undergoing treatment. He is still weak but already starting to gain weight. At the first visit he weighed 2.3 kg, and yesterday he already weighed 2.9 kg.

The doctor who is taking care of the kitten is satisfied. The back paws are still weak, but there is a good chance that they will recover as soon as the muscles begin to regenerate.

I would like to once again thank everyone who helped the kitten ❤️ Without you he would not have had a chance.

Now all that lies ahead of him is recovery and the joy of a carefree feline life alongside his human ❤️❤️❤️

Dear friends, we did it! Together we managed to raise the needed money for Oggy. I am extremely grateful to every person who supported this poor boy. Now the doctors will take care of him and do everything they can to save him. Please keep your fingers crossed for him.

Oggy appeared today at one of the places where I feed stray cats every day. When I saw him slowly emerge from the bushes and walk towards me, I felt my heart break and tears flowed into my eyes.

You can see right away that he used to be a beautiful long-haired cat, but today he looks like his life is about to end. At the moment, Oggy is a skeleton stretched thin with fur growing on it only in places. The entire spine and every ankle of his tiny body is clearly visible through the skin. I can also see that the kitty has some kind of problem with his back paws and is unable to walk in a normal way.

I approach Oggy slowly so as not to startle him. I’m afraid that, panicked, he will run away and just die somewhere in some dark alley. But Oggy doesn’t run away. He looks at me with his big sad eyes and silently asks for help.

I don’t think twice but immediately take Oggy to the clinic.

The doctor agreed to admit us when he saw what condition the male cat was in. After a thorough examination, he said that this is practically the last moment to save his life. Oggy is extremely starved. He already has muscle atrophy, hence the problem with his back paws. Added to this is a skin infection and fever, the exact cause of which he is still unable to determine at the moment. Probably Oggy was an indoor cat that for some reason ended up on the street and can’t make it on the street, can’t get food… I suppose someone just got rid of him mercilessly.

The doctor agreed to make this one visit for Oggy on credit. I left the cat in the clinic for three hours, during which time he received a strengthening drip and another with antibiotics, but then I had to take him away. Subsequent visits will take place if I can pay for them. The kitty is at my house. I look at him sleeping curled up in a ball and can’t hold back the tears. I can see that it is at home, on the pillow that Oggy feels safe. Yes, the doctor was right, Oggy must have been a domestic cat and that’s why on the street he is not able to survive.

I promised Oggy that he would never be on the street again. That I would find him a home, and if not, he would stay with me. But first we have to treat him, because at the moment he is on the verge of life and death. It is necessary to administer drips three times a day, an antibiotic and additional tests to determine the cause of the fever and rule out any other diseases. Only that for this, money is needed, which I no longer have.

I am very much asking you to help Oggy. Without you he will not survive.
