Dear friends, I have new news for you from Morelka!
The burn wounds are already treated. The kitten is a little scared, but she feels safe among our other healthy cats. There are no infectious diseases so she was able to join the cat herd.Every day I will take her to the clinic for dressing changes and cleaning the wound from dead tissue.
Dear Morelka is a kitty with a wonderful character, despite the fear and trauma she experienced, she does not react with aggression, she is adorable. She will be a wonderful companion for her future guardian.

Someone poured boiling water over the homeless Morelka. Apparently, this was because she came to the bar begging for leftover food. Guests were unhappy because she jumped on the tables and looked into their plates. Poor Morelka, she trusted people, even though she shouldn’t have.
That much I was able to determine. But the bar employees won’t admit it, of course, and I don’t have any evidence, so I can’t do anything.
Morelka has a large wound on her back and another smaller one near her ear. The burns are very deep, bleeding in places. When I found her, she was sitting waspish, motionless. I touched her, and she just stiffened – I don’t know if from pain or fear. But after a while, I think she saw that I wasn’t going to hurt her, and she started meowing pitifully, as if asking me to rescue her. I knew immediately that Morelka was in a lot of pain and that she needed immediate help. I took her to the clinic.
The doctor confirmed that it is a burn wound. Morelka has a fever and is in a state of general shock due to extreme pain. She was immediately given strong painkillers, anti-inflammatory drugs and an antibiotic injections. Then I took this biddy home. I hope that her fever will come down and her overall condition will improve after the medications. For now she doesn’t want to eat, but the doctor says it’s because of the shock and that she should start eating when she feels better. I hope she will.
Tomorrow I am to report with her to the clinic. Morelka has to have daily intravenous medication. Also every day the doctor will clean the wound and apply a topical antibiotic so that an infection doesn’t develop. If Morelka does not start eating on her own, she will also be given nutritional and hydration drips.
I am very much asking for help for Morelka, this poor kitty hurt by humans.
