Dear friends, do you remember Modu? He is a male cat we found on the street with his paws tied… The fight for his health continues to this day. Today, Modu’s paw is almost completely healed, but the road to this point has been very long – it began back in January.

When Modu came into my care, I took him to the clinic every day to have his dressings changed. We fought inflammation and infection for a long time. Then the dressings were changed twice a week, and Modu was also given antibiotics. Unfortunately, the wound healed very slowly, and the specter of amputation hung over us all the time.

Fortunately, our wonderful doctor did not give up. About two months ago, he decided that Modu would come to the clinic every other day to have his wound cleaned and his dressing changed. And you know what? It worked!
Today, the wound is tiny and the skin has regenerated beautifully. Although his paw is missing its toes, we believe that this is much better for Modu than amputation.

He feels great — he’s vaccinated, microchipped, neutered… and above all, happy. And the best part is that Modu purrs almost constantly, even during visits to the clinic!

Dear friends, our brave Modu is still struggling to recover.

The treatment of his injured paw has been going on for a very long time, and unfortunately the healing process is slow. Twice a week I take him to change the dressing – it’s a tedious and time-consuming way, but we do everything to avoid amputation.
Fortunately, thanks to antibiotic therapy, the inflammation has been brought under control, which gives us hope that things will only get better soon.

Modu endures everything with remarkable patience and calmness. He is an exceptional cat – despite the pain and difficult experiences, he still bestows great love and trust on people.

Please keep your fingers crossed for him.

Modu is waiting for another dressing change – look how much he loves stroking! ❤

Since the day he was found, the veterinarian has been constantly fighting for his paw, which is in a dramatic condition. Despite the immense suffering, this brave male cat endures everything with remarkable perseverance. Fortunately, there is hope – the doctor estimates that there is a good chance of saving the paw and avoiding amputation.

Modu is also very emaciated and needs time to gain strength and energy. His overall health has a huge impact on the healing process, so we are giving him the best care and attention. Keep your fingers crossed for him!

Dear friends, from the bottom of my heart I thank you for helping Modu! Thanks to you and your big hearts, we managed to raise all the money needed for Modu’s treatment and even a little more! ❤️😊 Thanks to you, the little one has a chance for a new and better life!

As soon as I find out what’s next for the little one I will let you know. Again, thank you so much for everything you do for him zrobiliście❤️

Someone pierced Modu’s paws all the way through. Then he pulled a fishing line through the holes in his paws. And then he tied the fishing line so tightly that it cut the skin and broke the bones.

Why is that! Who is such a psychopath that he did this to an innocent creature? Did he enjoy inflicting pain and listening to the desperate cries of the tormented cat?

I don’t know what I would have done if this sadist had ended up in my hands.

Modu must have spent a long time like this, because he is emaciated and necrosis is progressing in one of his paws. The skin itself came off like a glove when the doctor took the line off Modu’s paws. Broken tiny bones fell out from under the skin. The muscles and bones are out and the claws have come off along with the skin.

The doctor says he will fight to save this paw, but it will not be easy. And if it fails, amputation will be necessary. Everything depends on whether the progression of necrosis can be stopped and whether the paw will want to heal at all.

Both paws hurt a lot, so Modu was given strong painkillers and in the paw with necrosis also a shot of anesthesia for all procedures. He also received an intravenous antibiotic and a nutritional drip. Every day he must have the condition of the paw with necrosis monitored, the wounds cleaned and the dressing changed. He must also be given an antibiotic and painkillers. If it turns out that the necrosis continues to progress, the paw will have to be amputated as soon as possible.

I am very much asking for help for Modu, who has been so terribly harmed by humans.
