Dear friends do you remember our blind Lucy?
The kitten is under the care of a volunteer. Some time ago we noticed that Lucy was experiencing pain while eating. After consultation with the doctor, it turned out that she has inflammation in her muzzle.
Yesterday she had surgery. The doctor had to remove as many as five teeth. The kitten endured the visit and the procedure very bravely, but every visit to the clinic is a lot of stress for her due to her disability. Fortunately, when she returned home she relaxed completely ❤

Dear friends, Lucy returned from the clinic yesterday. The kitten is feeling well, the wound is healing nicely.
Ahead of her is the final stage of treatment, surgery on the broken paw. The doctor has not yet set a date, but assured that Lucy’s condition is stable enough for the operation soon. Keep your fingers crossed for this brave kitty!

Dear friends, this morning Lucy had a sterilization procedure performed. She will stay in the clinic for a few more days, as long as the doctors are sure that she can go home.
The kitten still has one more surgery ahead of her, which must be done as soon as possible, because the broken bones of her paw have spread a lot. I believe that now it will only get better.
Thank you again for your support. Without your help I would not have been able to help Lucy.

Lucy will have a sterilization performed. Until now, doctors had been holding off because Lucy’s condition was not stable enough. They were concerned about whether her body could withstand the operation. Therefore, they administered antibiotics, painkillers and IVs.
At the moment, Lucy’s condition has improved enough that doctors are ready to perform the operation. I am waiting for further information and will let you know.

Unfortunately, in the meantime it turned out that Lucy is pregnant. I am very worried. In my opinion, it is best to carry out sterilization now, while the pregnancy is very early…. Unfortunately ;(
Since Lucy has a genetic defect, there is a high probability that she will pass this defect to her children. We’ll see what the doctors say, for now with the paw surgery we have to wait for their decision on sterilization.
Lucy is undergoing intensive antibiotic therapy to prepare her for surgery. I will keep you updated on what is happening with her.

Dear friends, Lucy’s condition has not changed much so far, she still has a fever. The most important thing is that she is eating and drinking. I give her painkillers and anti-inflammatory drugs, because the broken paw is painful and hot. And then, after these medicines, I usually manage to get her watered and fed at least a little. We have almost the entire amount needed, very little is missing, so I took Lucy to the clinic today and she has already stayed there. She is to have a set of tests done again, and as soon as the doctors find that her condition is fairly stable, they are to operate on her broken paw. If you can, please add a few more dollars, so that I have the entire amount they gave me at the clinic. Then we will be sure that Lucy will get all the help she needs.

Dear friends, I won’t give up on Lucy, but she may not last until the surgery and pass away.
For now, I’m doing what I can to prevent her body from dehydrating. I don’t know why, maybe because of her fever, Lucy doesn’t want to lie on the blanket, she only calms down when I put her on the cold tiles. Or maybe she has never slept on a soft bed until now and feels more secure on a hard floor?
I am asking anyone reading this to help this poor blind kitty with even the smallest donation. Or to send this collection to your acquaintances, friends…. Let’s not give up, it’s so close!

Dear friends, Lucy is lying down, not eating or drinking. I give her water and kitten milk with a syringe into her muzzle, but she doesn’t want to swallow it too much. I begged the doctors and Lucy was given a rehydration drip this morning. But without money, they won’t admit her to the clinic and she has no chance for intensive care or surgery. And this is the only thing that can save the life of this poor, wronged kitty.
Thank you to all the people who have donated even the smallest amounts so far. But we must keep fighting until the end.

Lucy’s condition deteriorated badly last night. She is so weak that she can’t support her body on her own. She has stopped eating and drinking. Her test results are bad, there is severe inflammation in her body. It is necessary to give her intravenous antibiotics as soon as possible.
In addition, the broken paw hurts her a lot and is hot. To put the paw back together can only be done surgically. Doctors say that it will be necessary to make a fusion of the bones with metal parts.
We must immediately take her to a veterinary clinic for treatment. If we don’t, we will lose her. But the doctors no longer want to treat Lucy on credit. I still haven’t paid for what they’ve done so far (X-ray, ultrasound, blood tests, cleaning wounds, cleaning the eyes and muzzle of pus, giving medications and dressings). And the surgery and further comprehensive treatment is a huge cost.
So far we have raised an amount that does not even cover the costs so far…. Please help, even with the smallest amount. Maybe we can save this innocent creature from suffering.

I found this tiny kitten by a busy street. Frightened, emaciated, blind. I reach out to her and stroke her tiny head. She doesn’t run away, doesn’t avoid my touch. She squints her eyelids as if she wants to close her eyes, which are not there. Even though walking causes her pain, she rubs her wounded body against me, as if begging for help.
My heart breaks into a thousand pieces and tears stream into my eyes. How is it possible for her to have so much trust and love for a human after what she has been through? Maybe she thinks this is her last chance, because for the first time in her hard life she felt something that gives her a little solace despite the pain and hunger? I don’t think for a moment, I tell her gently and warmly that today her life will change. I take her in my arms and take her to a safe place.
Dear friends, Lucy’s condition is critical. Everything she has been through, the stress caused by her disability, lack of access to food and water, pain, fear has devastated her body to the limit. The kitty has a chance for survival only with immediate medical care and specialized treatment at a veterinary clinic, where she will be constantly monitored by veterinarians. The kitty urgently needs surgery on her broken paw, diagnostics, because there is oozing pus where her eyes should be, she has a severe purulent infection in her muzzle, which causes pain when eating, sores and skin infection.
Her body is very devastated and weak, if we do not help her immediately, Lucy will pass away. Let’s not take away her chance for life. Doctors have promised to do everything in their power to save the kitten, but time is of the essence. And we don’t have it. We only hope that her fate will not be indifferent to people with a good heart. Lucy is waiting for a miracle. A miracle that will give her life. However, I will not be able to help Lucy on my own. The approximate cost given by the doctors for the paw surgery, diagnosis, stay in the clinic, treatment and medication is $ 2300.
I beg you, every dollar for Lucy will give her hope for a life without pain and a new, good home. Together we can save this wonderful creature.
