Do you remember Bobik?

April 4, 2025

Dear friends, do you remember Bobik?

Our lovely Bobik had another visit to the clinic today. Unfortunately, he caught a bit of a cold – he was plagued by a runny nose for several days. Fortunately, there was no antibiotic! A few nebulizations at the clinic were enough, and Bobik is feeling well again ❤.

Unfortunately, there is also less happy news – our micro cat has again gained a little too much flesh and has to go back on a diet. And believe it, it’s quite a challenge, because Bobik loves to eat with all his heart and tummy!
Keep your fingers crossed for him – may he bravely endure the diet and quickly return to perfect shape (although for me he is still the most beautiful in the world)😍

Do you remember this beautiful kitty? That’s Bobik, the sweetest kitty in the world 😊.

Sometimes he happens to fall asleep sitting down 😁 All he has to do is lean against something soft after a meal and there you go😊.

This bigger redhead is Oggy. I think he feels like playing.

Tuttu and Bobik are two of our adult cats 7 and 3 kg.

Both have wonderful characters and are super buddies. Tuttu is calm, loves to play with a fishing rod and, despite his disability, jumps after it like a healthy cat. Bobik is such a grown-up baby. He is tiny, looks like a kitten and loves to play chase with other cats.

These two cats are an example of how a cat’s character can change when taken from the street. Sometimes when I look at them how happy and full of love they are, it makes me want to cry that someone put them to such a fate by throwing them out on the streets.

Good morning, are you up for breakfast yet?

Bobik gently slept in, so today he will eat later 😊 For me he looks too cute to wake him up ❤

Yesterday Bobik was vaccinated with the first dose of vaccination.

The kitten feels good and you can say that he is already healthy. But he is overweight. This may be related to a genetic defect that Bobik has. He is constantly hungry and with his quiet voice still demands food….

The doctor recommended reducing portions and not giving in to his charms.

So Bobik has been on a diet since yesterday 😉

Bobik is now out of surgery. The last days were very hard for him. But we did not lose hope. Bobik’s intestines began to work. The doctor who operated on the cat said that a part of the intestine was twisted which made it impossible to defecate.

Dear friends it was you who saved Bobik !

Thanks to you this tiny kitten can live happily without pain.

Dear friends, thank you from the bottom of my heart for helping Bobik.

The male cat is fighting bravely, despite so many diseases and a genetic defect.

Thanks to you, he has a chance to live a healthy life with his human by his side.

Today I took Bobik to the clinic. He was scheduled for surgery. Unfortunately, during the examination, the doctor heard murmurs in Bobik’s lungs. The diagnosis was pneumonia. The doctor prescribed an antibiotic. The cat also has a kidney problem.

Unfortunately, the operation has to take place, even though his condition has worsened.

Dear friends keep your fingers crossed for this little one. Tomorrow I am driving Bobik to the clinic. I am very afraid for him…

Dear friends, Bobik is feeling worse. Medications have not helped. Today first thing in the morning I ran with him to the clinic. The doctor took an X-ray and it looks even worse than before. So they took Bobik to the treatment room and squeezed as much intestinal content out of his tummy as possible. I have a feeling that it helped him a little. Certainly, the tummy softened a little.

But Bobik won’t last long. We have to operate on him. If we raise the necessary money today, the clinic has agreed to still operate this afternoon or evening.

Bobik is still a baby. I met him by chance when he was lying motionless, curled up in a ball, on the concrete sidewalk. It was raining and Bobik, dirty, wet, with festering sad eyes, didn’t even react when I approached. He also didn’t react to my touch and completely involuntarily allowed himself to be picked up, dangling like a plush toy.

When I took Bobik in my arms, I saw how big, bloated, hard and painful his tummy was. At the time, I still didn’t realize how much life on the street had damaged this cat’s health.

I took Bobik to the clinic. I begged the doctor for help, promising to pay in a few days. The doctor agreed to see him. Concerned about the size of his tummy and Bobik’s inactivity, he took an x-ray.

And unfortunately, it turned out to be very bad. Bobik’s intestines are not working properly, or perhaps not working at all. Their contents practically burst Bobik from the inside. That’s why the tummy is so very hard and painful.

The doctor is unable to give a reason for this condition at the moment. He says that, rather, the intestines are not mechanically obstructed, although this is not 100% excluded. Perhaps part of the intestine has been damaged for some reason. It could also be that the problem has a neurological basis. In any case, according to the doctor, Bobik should be operated on immediately, so that the whole body does not become infected or the intestines become necrotic. If this happens, there will be no more salvation for Bobik.

For the time being, the doctor has given Bobik medication that will work temporarily and reduce his suffering at least a little. But all this is only an action for a while. Without surgery, Bobik will die. And it won’t be long.

Now Bobis is at home with me, lying down and trying not to move at all, because any movement increases the pain. He’s still as helpless as a plush toy, and without protest he allows himself to have his eyes bloodshot and medication administered. My heart breaks and I don’t even want to think about how much this little one is suffering.

But all I can do now is ask you to help me raise money for an operation for this feline baby. I don’t know if it will work, because Bobik doesn’t have much time. But we have to try.

Therefore, this is what I am asking you to do. Help, at least with the smallest amount. Let’s try to save Bobik.
