A handful of news from Grey ❤️

May 7, 2025

Carefree cat childhood – without pain, hunger and fear. Just the full bellies, affection and security that everyone deserves.

Look how Grey has grown up! She is not only beautiful, but also full of charm – beauty and character go hand in hand in her. She is a real lady with a claw!

And the tiny little baby next to her is Stash. Remember how I once wrote that Stash turned out to be a girl? Well… a boy after all! And this time one hundred percent 😉 already.

It is thanks to you, dear Donors, that these kittens can today enjoy peace, care and love. If it were not for your support, their fate could have looked completely different. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for any help – it is thanks to you that we are changing their world for the better!

I really enjoy watching my cats show affection to each other – especially when the adults take care of their tiny charges.

Dear friends, Milo will soon be looking for a home! He is a big, extremely cuddly male cat who loves company. Look at how thoughtfully he takes care of little Grey!

Grey is almost healthy now – the wound on her head has healed beautifully, and the fur, which we had to shave due to a skin infection, is starting to grow back. I’m glad she’s recovering well.

Dear friends, Grey had her head wound sutured today. As I wrote previously, we had to wait until the little one’s condition improved to perform the necessary procedure.

The anesthesia went without any problems. The kitten is already at home. She is still a little sleepy, but she feels fine. Tomorrow the little one will have a check-up visit and dressing change.

Once again, I thank you from the bottom of my heart for all your help and commitment to little Grey.

Dear friends, thank you from the bottom of my heart. We raised money for Grey’s treatment! The poor thing still doesn’t want to eat, but the nosebleed hasn’t happened again. But she gets drips and pure oxygen. The doctor says it’s better, but that we still have to wait a bit longer with giving Grey anesthesia and further treatments.

But I already know one thing. When Grey recovers, she will have a loving home! This little one apparently caught your hearts so much that several people have declared that they want to adopt her! So Grey has a chance for a good life, surrounded by care and love.

Thank you again for your help for Grey. I will keep you updated on her condition. Keep your fingers crossed for her!

A tiny gray shadow just flashed before my eyes. The tiny silver-gray kitten darted between the old cardboard boxes and hid there from me. I was afraid that it would escape through some crevice on the other side and I would not be able to find it.

Fortunately, the kitten did not find an escape route. After a long moment, I heard a crying meow, and a moment later Grey (that’s what I called her) tentatively slid out from between the cardboard boxes her tiny, terribly bloody head. She must have been bleeding from her nose, too, because it had blood already dried on it.

I tried not to move so as not to frighten Grey again. But the kitty gave up trying to run away, or she sensed that I wanted to help her. She didn’t run away anymore, she just trotted around in circles on her tiny, wobbly legs and meowed tearfully, as kittens do when they lose their mother.

Just in case, I waited a certain amount of time with the faint hope that Mama Grey would show up. Unfortunately, the mother did not come.

Grey is a cat baby, no more than 4-5 weeks old. Without her mother, she wouldn’t have a chance to survive on the street, even if she wasn’t battered. A few hours without food and drink will kill such a baby. I knew right away that she had to be taken to the doctor. And Grey didn’t seem to have any more strength, because she let me catch her without protest. I took her straight to the clinic.

The doctor examined Grey carefully. He said that the wound on the baby’s head was large and heavily contaminated. Therefore, Grey should get an antibiotic, but this is not possible – her body is still young and weak, so she might not survive it. Therefore, the doctor only superficially cleaned the wound and gave Grey a nutritional drip. As soon as she is a little stronger, a deep cleaning of the wound and suturing under anesthesia will have to be done.

For now, it is not known what caused the nosebleed. Grey’s injuries suggest that she was in some kind of accident, so she may have some more serious injuries than what can be seen from the outside. That’s why the doctor says that if the bleeding recurs, an x-ray is a must.

I am very worried that Grey does not want to eat. At the clinic they tried several times to give her liquid food for such small kittens, but she would not eat a bit. And I already know that if a kitten does not eat, it is a very bad sign.

The doctor says that it is necessary, first of all, to stabilize her condition and that the next 24 hours will show whether Grey has a chance to survive. During this time, she must have IVs, and they will also give her oxygen.

From the bottom of my heart, I ask you to help Grey. She’s still a baby, she hasn’t even met life yet. I don’t want her to die. If she doesn’t die, she will have many more years ahead of her and I will try to find her a home. Just let her survive… I beg you, let’s not let her die.
