Mimi has passed away.
I can’t describe the pain I feel. In the morning her body was very weak, but I still had hope. I asked her not to give up, I told her that she already had a home and someone who loved her very much and no one would ever hurt her again. But unforunately the injuries were too great😞
The only consolation for me is that she did not die in suffering on a concrete sidewalk invisible to everyone. She passed away surrounded by love and care. I think she knew that. I was by her side until the very end.
Dear friends, from the bottom of my heart I thank everyone who helped Mimi in her fight for life. Thank you also for your messages and emails, I know that you too were very worried about the kitten. I also got a lot of support and words of comfort from you. I needed them very much. It is thanks to you that Mimi had a chance.
From the collected amount I will cover the unpaid invoices for Mimi’s treatment. The amount that remains I will use for spaying and neutering procedures and vaccinations of Lucus, Bobik and Snow. They will be ready for them soon.

This morning I received a call from a weeping girl begging for help for a badly injured cat. The girl found him in the back of a school, on a construction site. She said it seemed to have been hit by a car.
I went immediately.
When I arrived at the site, my legs buckled under me. I’ve seen a lot of things, but something like this before. The little kitty, I called her Mimi, was lying semi-conscious, all wet and looking like a shred of flesh, but still alive. And she meowed softly, quietly, as if asking to be rescued. One of Mimi’s paws was terribly broken, with bones sticking out on top. The little one’s entire body was covered with extensive wounds, on which large flies had already gathered.
I couldn’t hold back the tears, but this was no time to cry. I immediately took Mimi to the clinic.
After examining Mimi, the doctors unanimously said that the kitty had not been hit by a car. The injuries would have looked very different then. And Mimi has expressive traces of a beating, most likely someone covered her with a stick. Doctors hint that she may have internal injuries, but this could not yet be confirmed or ruled out. The broken paw cannot be saved. It needs to be amputated, and urgently, because necrosis and infection can occur at any time.
She has large wounds on her back and deep burns, probably from being doused with boiling water. The doctor says that the abuser first beat her and then poured boiling water on her – this is indicated by the state of the broken paw, where Mimi’s body looks like it was cooked.
Sometimes I am ashamed to be human. Only a human is capable of such cruelty.
Mimi is in the clinic. She is lying under oxygen and in warmth, because she was very cold. She was given an intravenous antibiotic because there is a danger of sepsis. The doctor says Mimi’s chances of survival are slim, but if we start quickly, she might make it. Very intensive therapy is needed. First of all, the broken paw will have to be amputated as urgently as possible. And the burns, due to their size and depth, also require intensive treatment in a hospital setting. The treatment will be very expensive and the doctor has asked several times if I realize this and if I definitely want to treat Mimi.
I beg you to help raise money for the treatment and surgery. Otherwise Mimi will die And it will be a death in terrible pain. May this pain, horror and helplessness not be the last memory of her life.Â
